Kīlauea hike and lava gazing at Halema'uma'u

This experience to Kīlauea takes place in the district of Keauhou. We will be hiking trails along the walls of the volcanoes caldera. As we explore together we will be witness to beautiful rain forests, volcanic steam vents, massive cliff overlooks, lava tubes, and of course the Halema’uma’u caldera of Kīlauea that houses the lava lake. While hiking we will learn all about Kīlauea’s endemic plant and animal life, Hawaiian geology, and the Hawaiian history all interwoven into the natural fabrics of Kīlauea.
